KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Minimum account data: email and hashed password.
  • Card data is never written to application logs and is purged on a schedule.
  • Aggregated metrics may be published; your data never is.
  • Request deletion or export via support.

This policy explains what data C4CHECK processes when you use the website, checkers and API. We keep data collection to the minimum required to run the service.

Data we collect

  • Account data: email address and a securely hashed password. Nothing else is required to register.
  • Check history: the card data you submit, the result (live/dead/unknown/error), gateway, cost and timestamps, stored so you can review your own results.
  • Balance and billing records: deposits, holds, charges and ledger entries for accounting integrity.
  • Technical data: IP address and user agent for security, rate limiting and abuse prevention.
  • Analytics: when enabled, privacy-focused visit analytics (Google Analytics 4, Bing UET and/or Microsoft Clarity) may set cookies to measure traffic and page performance.

What we do not do

  • We never write card data to application logs.
  • We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
  • We do not ask for wallet seeds or private keys.

How we use data

To provide checking and history, process crypto deposits, prevent abuse, maintain billing integrity and improve the service. Aggregate, anonymised statistics (for example, average gateway latency) may be published in our guides — these never include customer or card data.

Retention

Check request payloads are minimised after a short period and purged on a schedule; classified results remain in your history until you delete them or ask us to. Billing and ledger entries are retained as required for accounting and dispute resolution.

Your rights

You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data, or ask questions about this policy, via the contact page or a support ticket. We respond within a reasonable period.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep you logged in and protect forms. Third-party analytics cookies are only present when analytics is enabled by the operator of this site.

What data the platform holds

Account data: the email address you register with, a hashed password, your balance and API key. Check data: the card inputs you submit, their results, timestamps, cost and the gateway used — stored per account so your history works. Deposit data: the crypto invoices generated for funding, their addresses and confirmation status.

Check inputs are retained under the platform retention policy — 90 days by default — after which they are purged by the scheduled cleanup job. Aggregate statistics are computed from check data in a form that does not expose individual records or card numbers.

What the platform does not do

It does not sell, rent or share check data with third parties. It does not store full card data beyond your account history retention. It does not process payments on the card networks: funding is crypto-only, and checks are issuer status queries that move no money.

Your controls

You can regenerate your API key at any time, review your full check history, open a deletion request through support, and request export of your account data. Deletion removes account records and history within the retention window; aggregate statistics already published do not contain identifiable data and are unaffected.
